Responsibilities

• Design and execute enterprise-wide people strategy aligned to rapid growth, M&A, and long-term ownership value
• Build best-in-class Talent Acquisition, People Operations, and Leadership Development functions
• Establish SSA as a destination for elite talent through culture and development
• Build and scale the Learning & Development ecosystem, including leadership and technical enablement
• Design performance management systems connecting goals, accountability, and equity value
• Own people compliance, governance, and risk mitigation across multi-state and international footprints
• Lead people integration across acquisitions while preserving entrepreneurial energy
• Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on change management and organizational health

Requirements

• Proven first-time CPO experience building a People function from the ground up
• Track record of building distinctive, non-cookie-cutter People functions
• Experience scaling teams and infrastructure in acquisitive or multi-entity environments
• Deep expertise in talent, performance, L&D, compensation, equity, and compliance
• Builder mentality with the ability to design new systems
• Experience in rapid growth, PE-backed, or highly complex environments preferred
• Proven experience leading HR compliance and risk mitigation in multi-state or international environments
