Responsibilities
- Investigate and assess liability to identify liable third parties
- Initiate, document, and manage all aspects of general liability cases from identification through final resolution
- Negotiate settlements and process denials per policy
- Establish the precise financial and legal merit of a loss
- Collaborate with claims adjusters, legal partners, and vendors to determine coverage
- Review and interpret policy language to align with company policies and legal requirements
- Engage and coordinate with outside vendors, specialists, attorneys, and investigators
Requirements
- 3+ years in GL Claims with a focus on commercial property or general liability assessment
- Strong understanding of commercial property and liability insurance policies
- Knowledge of state and federal subrogation laws
- Proven negotiation skills with third-party insurers and legal representatives
- Ability to obtain appropriate Independent Adjuster License(s)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field
- Knowledge of construction methods

- Commercial property/liability knowledge
- Subrogation law knowledge
- Negotiation skills
- Independent Adjuster License or ability to obtain one
