Cloud and Platform Architect (Azure + AI)

Responsibilities

• Partner with product managers and stakeholders to shape product vision and architecture options
• Produce architecture blueprints, designs, decision records and implementation guidance
• Design secure, scalable, reusable services, APIs, datastores and integrations
• Work with engineering teams on prototyping, code review and technical debt management
• Select technologies, define standards and build common frameworks or accelerators
• Participate in planning, estimation and architecture trade-offs across cost, risk and time-to-market
• Apply AI-assisted engineering practices responsibly to improve delivery and quality

Requirements

• Strong architecture experience across cloud-native, integration, data and security domains
• Hands-on software engineering in C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript or Python
• Practical experience with agentic AI coding tools and AI-assisted delivery workflows
• Practical Azure experience including security, Azure Policy, Entra ID, RBAC and Key Vault
• Experience with APIs, microservices, containers and Kubernetes, preferably AKS
• CI/CD and DevSecOps practices using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub
• Design of access management, authentication and authorisation patterns
• Clear communication with senior stakeholders and distributed teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with internal developer platforms or reusable engineering assets
• Experience with generative AI solution patterns, RAG and AI governance guardrails
• Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Security Engineer, TOGAF or SAFe certification
