Cloud Architect

Responsibilities

• Engage with project and delivery teams to understand functional requirements
• Deliver design artefacts to support technical teams through build, test, rollout, and production support
• Provide hands-on design and development for scalable modern single page apps using NoSQL databases
• Select optimal software patterns, libraries, partner solutions, and tools
• Elicit and document non-functional requirements and SLAs
• Present at technology design authority and backlog refinement meetings
• Promote Agile best practices and work with DevOps to increase automated testing in CI/CD pipelines
• Ensure solutions are secure by design, promoting zero trust architectures
• Mentor teams on the adoption of AWS, Azure, or equivalent cloud services
• Support and evolve IT and Digital strategy, including technology selection
• Implement coding standards and best practices across teams
• Deliver proof of concept solutions to evaluate designs and 3rd party tools
• Maintain architecture documentation to an appropriate level

Requirements

• AWS or Azure Certified Cloud Architect
• Hands-on design and development experience with scalable single page apps
• Experience with NoSQL databases
• Strong understanding of software patterns and libraries
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
