Commis Chef

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs de partie with basic food preparation, chopping, and mise en place
• Follow recipes and presentation standards under the guidance of senior chefs
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation at all times
• Help with receiving, storing, and rotating kitchen stock
• Support the wider kitchen team during busy service periods

Requirements

• Culinary certificate/diploma or equivalent hands-on kitchen experience
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene, knife skills, and kitchen equipment
• Eagerness to learn and grow within a professional kitchen environment
• Good physical stamina to handle a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Team-oriented attitude with strong attention to detail
