About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare special meals, substitute items, and cold foods
- Regulate temperatures of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters
- Manage food thawing processes and maintain food logs
- Ensure proper portioning, arrangement, and food garnish
- Monitor quality and quantity of prepared food
- Communicate with Chef regarding excess items and menu specials
- Follow all company safety, security, and food preparation standards
- Assist management with training and coaching employees
- Maintain professional appearance and clean uniform
Requirements
- At least 3 years of related work experience
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 25 pounds
- Ability to perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
