Commis III (Hot/Cold)

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
• Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
• Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation standards
• Prepare cold foods and operate kitchen equipment including ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
• Monitor food quality and ensure items are cooked sufficiently
• Set up and break down workstations
• Serve food in proper portions
• Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tools, knives, and equipment
• Maintain cleanliness and professional appearance
• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• At least 1 year of related work experience
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds
