About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and implement strategies to embed community at every stage of the ALX talent journey
- Own and manage eHub, the ALX virtual community platform, to keep it active and well-moderated
- Plan, write, and send monthly community newsletters and manage the communications calendar
- Track and report on eHub engagement metrics and newsletter performance
- Build and maintain relationships with city leads, members, and cross-functional teams
- Curate and share member-generated content and success stories
Requirements
- 3-4 years of experience in community management, social/digital media, or program management
- Hands-on experience running online community platforms like Discourse, Circle, Slack, or Discord
- Proficiency with email/newsletter tools such as Mailchimp or HubSpot
- Experience planning and running community events (virtual, in-person, or hybrid)
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to adapt tone across channels
- Ability to work with data to track engagement metrics and spot trends
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience moderating or building online communities from the ground up
- Familiarity with community-led growth or ambassador programs
- Experience with graphic or content tools like Canva
- Knowledge of behavioral psychology or engagement strategies
