About the role
Responsibilities
- Shadow attorneys in legal and business matters, including counseling business clients
- Assist with compliance matters such as anti-bribery, anti-money laundering, sanctions, export controls and antitrust
- Research developing compliance case law, regulations and their impact on the company
- Assist in compliance audits, investigations and compliance risk assessments
- Support due diligence for M&A and strategic transactions
- Research technology and legal techniques to improve Legal department processes
Requirements
- Enrolled as a 2L student at an ABA law school at time of application
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 and excellent academic credentials
- Research experience using Westlaw or PLI
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Google Sheets, Docs and Slides
- Self-reliant, organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- Top 25% of class in law school
- Compliance or in-house experience
