About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead development and maintenance of annual and multi-year consortium budgets
- Develop expenditure forecasts and cash flow projections
- Monitor budget execution and conduct variance analyses
- Coordinate with technical teams to align budgets with workplans
- Oversee project expenditures and fund utilization across partner institutions
- Review partner financial reports and invoices for compliance
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements (IAO and Gates Foundation)
- Support internal and external project audits
- Optimize financial systems and workflows
- Provide training to staff and partners on financial management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in project finance or grants management
- Experience with international development or research organizations preferred
- Knowledge of budgeting, financial analysis, and donor reporting
- Familiarity with IFRS and audit procedures
- Proficiency in financial systems (ERP) and Excel
- Strong communication skills in English and Arabic
- Willingness to travel up to 30%
