About the role

Responsibilities

  • Review African Development Bank strategic and operational instruments and conduct a portfolio scan to identify care-related entry points
  • Identify opportunities to integrate care considerations into diagnostics, policy dialogue, and project design
  • Develop a practical guideline package including sector-specific entry points, screening tools, and sample indicators
  • Prepare an implementation note for Bank task teams and regional offices on the use of the guidelines
  • Facilitate validation workshops and incorporate stakeholder feedback into the final guidelines package

Requirements

  • Master's degree in economics, gender studies, public policy, development studies, or international relations
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in gender equality, women's economic empowerment, or care economy policy
  • Proven track record of developing operational guidelines or toolkits for multilateral organizations or governments
  • Demonstrated experience applying the 5R framework (recognize, reduce, redistribute, represent, and reward)
  • Strong research, synthesis, and drafting skills
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of French is an asset
