About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead transition from cash basis to accrual accounting, including restating historical financials
- Own migration from QuickBooks Online to NetSuite with external consultant
- Lead pre-audit book cleanup in coordination with BDO
- Own the formal audit process from start to finish
- Own month-end and year-end close and financial statements
- Manage general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll
- Build and maintain a strong internal controls environment
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual reports to the CEO and leadership
Requirements
- Recent experience transitioning a company from cash basis to accrual accounting
- Hands-on NetSuite experience, migration or implementation preferred
- Experience working with an external audit firm
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, at least 2 in a Controller or senior accounting role
- Deep knowledge of US GAAP
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA designation or local equivalent
- Big 4 audit or tax experience
- E-commerce, DTC or consumer products experience
- Prior QuickBooks Online to ERP migration experience
