Counselor

Responsibilities

• Conduct telephonic triage and assessments for behavioral health, substance use, and work-life concerns
• Coordinate and manage cases from initial intake through completion
• Connect members with network providers and resources including financial and legal assistance
• Provide telehealth and in-person assessments, coaching, and brief solution-focused counseling
• Consult with Human Resources professionals and client organization supervisors
• Maintain professional documentation within the case management system

Requirements

• Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a behavioral health-related field
• At least five years of experience as an EAP counselor or in an equivalent behavioral health clinical role
• Strong assessment, triage, crisis-support, and case management capabilities
• Knowledge of behavioral health conditions, levels of care, and discharge-planning practices
• Understanding of HIPAA requirements and handling of Protected Health Information (PHI)
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

• Licensed mental health clinician or Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP)
• Certified Human Resources professional or other recognized industry credential
• Active professional license in the state of employment for in-person roles
