About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist with full-cycle psychiatric and behavioral health billing activities
- Review claims, patient balances, and outstanding account issues
- Investigate rejected, denied, or underpaid claims and support corrections or appeals
- Maintain payment posting, accounts receivable, and collection records
- Navigate patient accounts and billing functions in eClinicalWorks
- Answer patient billing inquiries and communicate with insurance representatives
- Prepare and review accounts receivable and billing performance reports in Excel
- Coordinate with the practice manager, administrative staff, and external billing providers
Requirements
- 2-3+ years hands-on medical billing and full-cycle revenue cycle experience
- Psychiatric or mental health billing experience
- Hands-on eClinicalWorks billing experience
- Medicare Part B billing experience
- Knowledge of psychiatric CPT and ICD-10 codes
- HIPAA knowledge and documented training or certification
- Excel-based revenue cycle reporting experience
- Excellent spoken and written English with strong patient communication skills
- Experience with payment posting, denials, AR follow-up, and collections

- Recent psychiatric or behavioral health billing experience
