About the role
Responsibilities
- Create accurate and complete medical documentation during or after patient encounters
- Prepare or pre-fill patient notes before appointments or visits
- Review notes and information provided by the Nurse Practitioner and amend per instructions
- Enter and maintain clinical documentation in ChartPath and PointClickCare
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient records and protected health information
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical documentation
- EMR / EHR documentation experience
- Excellent written English
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar healthcare software
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior medical scribe or healthcare VA experience
- Experience supporting a Nurse Practitioner or physician
- HIPAA certification
- ChartPath or PointClickCare experience
