Cyber Security Analyst

Responsibilities

• Conduct best practice reviews and develop effective action plans
• Advise on vendor selection and oversight
• Create and implement policies, procedures, and control measures
• Implement and assist with day-to-day operations of securing information systems
• Install and configure security software like firewalls and encryption programs
• Monitor network traffic and analyze authentication logs to investigate anomalies
• Lead vulnerability management programs and conduct annual cybersecurity assessments
• Test and analyze business continuity and disaster recovery plans
• Execute incident response programs to identify and prevent breaches
• Review, investigate, and respond to real-time security alerts
• Generate security and compliance reports for stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
• 5+ years of experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst specifically at a hedge fund or family office
• Relevant certifications such as CEH, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, GSEC, GCIH, GNFA, or GREM
• Experience with vendors like Splunk Cloud, Rapid7 Nexpose, Sophos, Varonis, or ForeScout
• Thorough understanding of Microsoft enterprise platforms (Azure, Active Directory, SQL, Office365)
• In-depth knowledge of security event management and network security monitoring
• Experience implementing security frameworks like NIST, Cobit, or ISO
• Strong writing and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences
