Data Annotation Analyst

Responsibilities

• Annotate 2D and 3D objects across images, video, and LiDAR point clouds, including vehicles, machinery, and environmental features
• Create and maintain accurate segmentation, object tracking, pose, and keypoint annotations
• Apply detailed annotation guidelines, including class definitions and occlusion rules
• Review work, respond to QA feedback, and maintain quality standards
• Identify and escalate ambiguous scenes, sensor artifacts, and tooling issues
• Document data quality issues with clear reproduction steps
• Participate in calibration sessions and guideline reviews

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail for repetitive, visually intensive work
• Strong spatial reasoning skills to interpret 3D environments
• Ability to learn complex, purpose-built software and keyboard shortcuts
• Experience working in fast-paced environments with defined accuracy targets
• Experience with image annotation GenAI workflows
• Reliable high-speed internet and a distraction-free workspace

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree
• Experience with image, video, LiDAR, or 3D annotation tools
• Experience with subsurface utility engineering (SUE), construction surveying, or GIS
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar tools
• Experience in construction, mining, agriculture, or heavy equipment environments
• Familiarity with point cloud data, sensor fusion, or camera-LiDAR calibration
• Experience with autonomous vehicles, robotics, or machine perception datasets
