Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, assessment, and modernization of enterprise Snowflake data platforms.
• Define current-state and target-state architectures across ingestion, transformation, storage, and governance.
• Analyze Snowflake usage telemetry to establish cost and performance baselines.
• Recommend modernization strategies using Snowpark, dbt, Dynamic Tables, and Streams and Tasks.
• Design scalable data models, governed data domains, and semantic layers for analytics and AI.
• Architect Snowflake Cortex solutions including Cortex Analyst and Cortex Search.
• Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary Agile delivery teams.
• Lead discovery workshops and present architecture decisions to executive audiences.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data architecture or data engineering.
• 2–4 years of deep Snowflake architecture and implementation experience.
• Expert-level SQL and strong Python skills.
• Strong experience with dbt and orchestration tools like Airflow, Fivetran, or Kafka.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proven ability to lead client-facing discovery and modernization engagements.
• Strong understanding of data governance, security, and lineage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Snowflake Cortex and LLM-based applications.
• Experience with Snowflake Iceberg Tables and open lakehouse architectures.
• SnowPro Advanced: Architect or SnowPro Core certification.
• Familiarity with Terraform, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Experience with FinOps and cloud cost governance.
