Data Architecture Lead

Responsibilities

• Serve as ultimate design authority for the enterprise data estate
• Define enterprise target data architecture, modeling standards and multi-year roadmaps
• Establish and lead the Design Authority board, approving solution designs before build
• Architect high-throughput, low-latency data pipelines for mobile and digital banking
• Review and challenge architectural content in SteerCo packs
• Audit change requests and cost estimates, escalating cross-project trade-offs

Requirements

• 10+ years of data architecture experience defining enterprise data strategies
• Architecting enterprise data solutions in Retail Banking environments
• Supporting mobile banking apps or high-concurrency microservices data layers
• Presenting to C-level executives and defending design choices
• Evaluating cloud costs, bill-of-materials and vendor change requests

Preferred Qualifications

• Leading data architecture for major banks in UAE or GCC
• TOGAF, AWS, Azure or Databricks architecture certifications
