Data Base Administrator (MS SQL)

Responsibilities

• Write advanced T-SQL scripts for MS SQL Server 2008–2019
• Review developers' SQL code and analyze execution plans
• Optimize database performance including queries, indexes, locking, disk, and memory
• Support and maintain an AlwaysOn availability group
• Help analysts and ML engineers with data access and retrieval
• Run routine database maintenance, archiving, and recovery strategies
• Monitor server performance and proactively prevent incidents

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with MS SQL Server 2008–2019
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server architecture and internals
• Excellent T-SQL skills including stored procedures, UDFs, and triggers
• Proven ability to optimize SQL queries and functions
• Ability to read and understand code written by others
• Ability to independently identify logic errors from database structure and code
