About the role
Responsibilities
- Test and compare server and networking hardware configurations
- Own hardware acceptance including burn-in checks and firmware/BIOS baselines
- Plan and coordinate hardware maintenance and upgrades across sites
- Work with onsite providers and contractors to execute installations
- Produce clear documentation including test results and maintenance runbooks
- Help troubleshoot hardware issues and support spares/RMA decisions
- Maintain inventory documentation
- Participate in scheduled on-call rotations
Requirements
- Solid understanding of server hardware basics (CPU/RAM/storage, NICs, firmware/BIOS, FPGA)
- Networking fundamentals
- Basic Linux skills for testing and benchmarking
- Accuracy and high level of attention to details
- Structured troubleshooting mindset
- Ability to coordinate work with external parties
- Willingness to travel internationally from time to time
Preferred Qualifications
- Bare-metal fleet experience or lab/burn-in testing background
- Optics/cabling validation knowledge
- Experience with vendor/procurement coordination
