Data Modeler

Responsibilities

• Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for Medallion architecture
• Implement dimensional modeling and Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD2)
• Design and implement semantic layers and ontologies to standardize business concepts
• Build and maintain knowledge graphs to represent entity relationships
• Collaborate with Data Architects and Engineers to align models with Lakehouse design principles
• Ensure models support schema evolution, partitioning, and performance optimization
• Communicate technical decisions and vision to high-level stakeholders

Requirements

• 7+ years in data modeling or data architecture roles
• Strong experience in data modeling for Lakehouse or data warehouse environments
• Proficiency in semantic layer design, ontologies, and knowledge graph development
• Familiarity with AWS Glue, Apache Iceberg, and Medallion architecture
• Understanding of metadata management and lineage tools (OpenMetadata preferred)
• Experience with data modeling tools like ERwin or PowerDesigner
• Experience with knowledge graph frameworks such as RDF, OWL, or Neo4j
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments using Jira and Agile methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in semantic technologies and knowledge graphs
• Domain expertise in financial services
• Experience with semantic layer tools like Zaimler or AtScale
