Data Privacy Senior Manager

Responsibilities

• Own, draft and maintain the Data Privacy Framework, policies, standards and SOPs
• Oversee the Record of Processing Activities (RoPA) program end to end
• Govern privacy risk management, DPIA and international data transfer assessments
• Define, monitor and report privacy KPIs and KRIs to senior management and board committees
• Oversee data subject rights, consent management and privacy notices
• Govern third-party privacy due diligence and data processing agreements
• Support the DPO in personal data breach management and regulatory notifications
• Design and deliver privacy awareness and training; coach privacy analysts

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021)
• Working knowledge of CBUAE Consumer Protection Regulation and Standards
• Experience with OneTrust and Archer
• Understanding of information security principles and data lifecycle management
• Excellent English drafting skills
• Minimum 8 years in data protection, privacy governance, compliance or risk, at least 3 in a senior or managerial role
• Experience in banking, financial services or another highly regulated industry
• Engagement with regulators, internal audit and external auditors
• Bachelor's degree in Law, Information Security, Risk Management, IT or related discipline

Preferred Qualifications

• Arabic language skills
• Postgraduate qualification
• CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, CDPO, CISA, CISM or equivalent certification
• Knowledge of DIFC, ADGM, EU GDPR and UK GDPR
