Database Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain highly available database architectures to support business growth
• Improve existing database infrastructure, including performance tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery
• Develop automation tools and internal platforms using Go/Python to streamline operations
• Monitor database health and performance metrics using SLO burn rates
• Take ownership of database operations including schema changes, data migrations, and production deployments
• Collaborate with development teams on database design consultation and query optimization
• Conduct regular database security audits and implement best practices

Requirements

• 4+ years experience managing advanced MySQL and MongoDB problems
• Proven experience managing large-scale database systems in production environments
• Deep understanding of database architecture, performance optimization, and high availability
• Strong automation mindset and programming skills in Go or Python
• Understanding of SLI/SLO/SLA concepts and reliability engineering practices
