Dean of Students

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Vice Provost to translate OSAA strategic objectives into operating plans and roadmaps
• Coordinate execution across Graduate Education, Administrative Affairs, Student Life, Academic Excellence and Academic Affairs
• Develop a portfolio-wide performance framework with KPIs, service standards and reporting
• Strengthen governance, policy and risk management across OSAA
• Lead or coordinate strategic projects including service redesign and digital transformation
• Serve as central coordination point across OSAA and represent it in institutional committees

Requirements

• Doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) in Higher Education, Education or a relevant discipline
• Significant progressive experience in higher education or comparable complex service environments
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and coordinating multiple teams
• Proven ability to translate strategy into measurable operational outcomes
• Experience with senior academic leaders, executives and faculty
• Experience managing complex stakeholder relationships and operational risks

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a research-intensive or science, technology, engineering or AI-focused university
• Familiarity with accreditation, quality assurance and student-success frameworks
• Experience developing student-experience strategies
• Exposure to international higher education and diverse student populations
• Experience using institutional dashboards and business intelligence tools
