About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide visionary and strategic leadership to advance the College's mission in teaching, research, and community engagement
- Serve as the chief academic and administrative officer of the College
- Lead curriculum development, program innovation, and periodic academic reviews
- Ensure compliance with national accreditation standards (e.g., UAE CAA) and international frameworks
- Recruit, mentor, and retain highly qualified faculty and staff
- Promote a culture of research, creative scholarship, and innovation
- Manage the College's budget, resources, and infrastructure sustainably
- Build partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, and cultural institutions
Requirements
- Doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) in a discipline within the arts, humanities, or social sciences
- Academic credentials and scholarly record suitable for appointment at the rank of Full Professor
- Significant senior leadership experience in higher education (Dean, Associate Dean, or Department Chair)
- Proven expertise in strategic planning, governance, and budget management
- Demonstrated success in curriculum development and program review
- In-depth knowledge of national and international accreditation standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the higher education landscape in the UAE, GCC, or MENA region
- Experience in international education and cross-cultural engagement
