Debt Collector

Responsibilities

• Manage collections and maintain allocated Receivables Outstanding within approved credit terms
• Perform payment follow-up with clients via calls and emails
• Maintain detailed and up-to-date records of customer accounts and collection activities
• Monitor client ageing and chase overdue payments to maintain overdue percentage below 80%
• Investigate and resolve customer disputes or discrepancies related to outstanding balances
• Provide periodical feedback on payment status to the Credit Control Supervisor and Finance Manager
• Coordinate with Sales, Logistics, and Receivables Accountant to ensure timely invoice submission and receipt posting

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• 2 to 3 years minimum experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in Excel for monthly follow-up reports
• Experience with Oracle (Customer Statement, Customer Ledger, and Receipts modules)
• Familiarity with ERP or accounting software such as SAP or Tally is an advantage
• Strong communication, negotiation, and Excel skills
• Detail-oriented, persistent, and customer-focused personality
