Deployment and Test Engineer

About the Company

Swoop Technologies is building SwoopOS, a distributed operating system designed to organize and make accessible the world’s military and critical infrastructure. By decomposing equipment into a distributed robotic embodiment, Swoop enables the deployment of autonomous systems and agentic AI in the physical world.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute software deployments across staging, testing, and production environments
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Monitor and troubleshoot deployment processes to ensure smooth execution
• Automate deployment tasks to increase efficiency
• Perform post-deployment testing to ensure functionality and performance
• Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI) to manage configurations
• Ensure compliance with security and operational standards
• Provide regular status updates on deployment progress and risks

Requirements

• Active US Top Secret Security clearance
• 3-5+ years experience delivering or operating technology in DoD network environments
• Strong grasp of OSI networking principles
• Expertise with CI/CD tools, containerization, version control, and infrastructure automation
• Ability to travel up to 50%
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
• Experience with Python, C, Rust, or Assembly
• Scripting experience in Bash, Python, or PowerShell
• Knowledge of Distributed Systems, Embedded Systems, or Bare Metal environments
• Experience administering RTOS, Linux, or Windows
• Knowledge of database deployment strategies
