Deputy Chief of Party II, Technical, Continuity of Integrated Health Services

Responsibilities

• Provide overall technical leadership for the development, implementation and consolidation of the CIHS project across malaria, MNCH, laboratory systems, disease surveillance, and health systems strengthening interventions
• Lead the development and execution of an integrated technical strategy that advances the project's objectives
• Manage, supervise, mentor and lead a multidisciplinary team of technical advisors
• Manage and mitigate technical risks that may affect achievement of project objectives and milestones
• Promote, uphold and model responsible stewardship of agency and donor resources
• Maintain relationships with key staff of consortium partner organizations
• Foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement across the project
• Identify technical capacity gaps and propose targeted training and technical assistance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in international development, International Relations or a relevant technical area
• Minimum 5 years' relevant management and technical experience
• Minimum 2 years' experience managing donor funds, including multi-country grants
• Recognized technical experience and qualifications in sector as demonstrated by peer reviewed publications or conference presentations
• Experience coaching and mentoring project staff
• Demonstrated experience of successful management of complex, high-value, multi-activity projects and logistics
• English proficiency required; French proficiency preferred
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 30%
