DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own infrastructure end-to-end, including Kubernetes clusters, Docker builds, and DigitalOcean services
• Manage cloud resources as code using Terraform
• Transition production deploys from manual weekly releases to safer, more frequent cycles
• Manage capacity, autoscaling, load balancers, and connection limits
• Maintain and improve the path from merge to production
• Operate PostgreSQL, Redis, and NATS under real production traffic
• Manage Cloudflare configuration for DNS, proxying, caching, and rate limiting
• Own observability across Sentry and New Relic
• Build self-service paths and guardrails for other engineers
• Respond to incidents, drive root cause analysis, and write postmortems

Requirements

• Senior-level experience in DevOps
• Proven experience running Kubernetes in production (rollouts, autoscaling, networking)
• Proficiency with Linux, Docker, and CI systems
• Experience operating PostgreSQL and Redis under real traffic
• Experience running a message broker (e.g., NATS) in production
• Experience with Cloudflare or similar edge services
• Ability to debug live incidents across logs, metrics, databases, and the edge
• Strong written communication skills for asynchronous environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience structuring documentation for AI consumption
• Experience building self-service infrastructure paths or internal tooling
• Deep security knowledge (threat modeling, access control, audit practices)
• Cloud cost visibility and optimization experience
• Background in live services or gaming
