Digital Analytics Engineer

Responsibilities

• Audit the Segment inventory, consolidate duplicates, and establish a governed object-action naming convention
• Build and maintain the tracking plan and deprecate events deliberately as the product changes
• Configure and manage Segment Protocols for schema validation and violation handling
• Advise on hybrid server-side and client-side event capture with product and engineering
• Partner with marketing, product, and engineering to translate requirements into event specs
• Document tracking standards and run a review process for proposing, approving, and deprecating events
• Build automated monitoring for schema conformance, event volume, and property completeness

Requirements

• 2+ years in a data analyst, data analytics, or similar role
• Experience with Segment or a similar customer data platform
• Solid grasp of event taxonomy and tracking-plan concepts
• SQL proficiency and comfort querying a cloud data warehouse
• Working knowledge of JSON Schema and JavaScript
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD
• Ability to explain tracking standards to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Amplitude, Mixpanel, PostHog, or GA4
