Director Analytics Engineering - Life & Retirement

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and accountability for the Life & Retirement analytical engineering function
• Translate business priorities into a sequenced roadmap for governed data products and semantic models
• Establish engineering standards for data modeling, data quality, CI/CD, and monitoring
• Oversee cloud-based data solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and governance
• Manage portfolio priorities, capacity, delivery commitments, and risks
• Play a key leadership role in developing the enterprise data warehouse
• Lead, coach, and develop analytical engineering professionals

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
• 8+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, BI, or data modeling
• 3+ years leading technical teams or a technical delivery portfolio
• Experience building governed analytical data products and cloud data solutions
• Understanding of data governance, quality, security, and enterprise architecture
• Strong communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, dbt, Power BI semantic models, SQL, and Python
• Experience in insurance, retirement, financial services, or another regulated industry
• Master's degree, MBA, or advanced quantitative degree

Benefits

• Salary range of $124,200 - $175,800 annually plus bonus
• Remote position with periodic travel
