Director Controlling

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budget process for operational costs, overhead, and revenue across the region
• Drive rolling forecast cycles and monitor budget vs. actuals
• Own the end-to-end monthly financial closing process and accrual management in SAP/SAP S/4HANA
• Prepare and publish monthly Controlling Packs and management trend analysis
• Monitor operational cost evolution and propose cost-saving initiatives
• Act as a business partner to the Operations department to support planning and performance reviews
• Provide decision support and ad hoc financial analysis to the CFO and senior management
• Drive continuous improvement of controlling processes and reporting automation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration
• 8–12 years of progressive experience in Controlling, FP&A, or Finance Business Partnering
• Prior experience in the shipping, port, or logistics industry
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability
• Solid understanding of IFRS and management accounting principles
• Full professional English fluency

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional qualification such as CPA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent
• MBA or advanced degree
• Experience in a regional or multi-country controlling role
• Proficiency with Power BI or equivalent reporting tools
