About the Company

Surefire Cyber is redefining the incident response model by delivering a swifter, stronger response to cyber incidents such as ransomware, email compromise, malware, data theft, and other threats. Our client-centric approach reduces stress and provides clients the confidence needed to prepare, respond, and recover from cyber incidents.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee complex client-facing incident response engagements from detection to recovery
  • Build and cultivate strong client relationships based on trust and collaborative problem-solving
  • Conduct scoping calls to define incident scope, objectives, and expectations
  • Provide mentorship and career development to a team of 3-5 forensic professionals
  • Communicate complex cybersecurity concepts and produce clear verbal and written incident reports
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to refine incident response processes
  • Provide after-hours on-call and weekend rotational support as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, or related field
  • Professional experience leading cybersecurity engagements, digital forensics, and client interaction
  • Experience managing and mentoring teams of 3-5 members
  • Proficiency in conducting security investigations in Linux and Windows environments
  • Understanding of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Knowledge of digital forensic tools such as ELK, Axiom, Encase, FTK, or Volatility
  • Ability to provide after-hours rotational support

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in forensic analysis, threat assessments, and post-incident reviews
  • Experience interacting with legal counsel and cyber insurers
