About the role

Responsibilities

  • Act as Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer (Deputy MLRO) and serve as Secretary of the WMI AML Compliance Committee
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Gaming Compliance department
  • Oversee AML/CFT obligations, including Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD)
  • Direct the investigation and escalation of suspicious activity (SAIRs) and ensure timely filing of SARs via the goAML platform
  • Develop and maintain quality assurance (QA) policies and conduct comprehensive QA testing
  • Lead and manage GCGRA examinations, internal audits, and annual independent testing
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies, law enforcement, and internal department heads

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in AML/CFT/CFP Compliance or gaming compliance
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior management or director-level role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Legal, or a related discipline
  • Comprehensive knowledge of AML/CFT laws and GCGRA requirements
  • Proficiency in English; fluency in Arabic is preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and AI applications like Copilot or Claude

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in UAE financial institutions or regulated entities
  • Experience acting as an MLRO or Deputy MLRO
  • Master’s degree or professional qualification such as ACAMS or ICA Diploma
  • Familiarity with goAML, Napier screening, and sanctions screening
