About the role
Responsibilities
- Own a defined loan portfolio and manage portfolio optimization
- Manage the existing loan book, including waivers, amendments, and covenants
- Oversee balance sheet, risk, credit, and stakeholder management
- Drive portfolio transformation, systems, and strategic initiatives
- Manage deteriorating or problem credits and execute portfolio actions
- Maintain P&L responsibility
Requirements
- 12+ years of relevant experience in the banking sector
- At least 5 years in corporate loan markets with portfolio management responsibilities
- Significant experience in loan portfolio management, credit risk, or active asset management
- Strong understanding of loan structures, credit risk, capital usage, and portfolio trade-offs
- Proficiency in corporate financials, legal concepts, and loan mechanics
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, or a related discipline
- Fluent in English with strong communication skills
- Strong awareness of UAE, regional, and international markets
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA degree
- Professional qualification such as CFA
