About the role
Responsibilities
- Own the data roadmap and company data model to ensure a single source of truth
- Refactor legacy jobs and tech debt to scale the platform with the business
- Maintain resilient pipelines for accurate and trusted data availability
- Manage warehouse and infrastructure costs as data volume grows
- Run intake processes and sprint cadence, prioritizing by business impact
- Lead and coach a small team through code reviews and growth paths
- Integrate new enterprise systems, such as ERP, into the warehouse
- Implement AI-native development using AI agents for investigation and quality
Requirements
- 8+ years in data architecture or data engineering, including 3+ years leading teams
- Experience building and scaling cloud data platforms (BigQuery or similar)
- Strong skills in SQL, Python, and dbt or similar modeling frameworks
- Deep data modeling experience starting from business concepts
- Proven track record of building data quality, governance, and monitoring practices
- Experience running sprint-based intake for multiple stakeholders
- Comfort with ELT tools like Fivetran and enterprise systems (ERP experience a plus)
