About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop the university's annual financial plan and manage the institutional budget
- Oversee daily accounting operations, journal entries, and bank reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Supervise revenue collection including tuition fees, grants, and donations
- Develop short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for stakeholders
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors
- Lead and supervise the finance team through training and performance evaluation
- Provide strategic financial advisory and feasibility studies for new programs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in financial management
- At least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or Banner)
- Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS and local financial regulations
- Excellent command of both English and Arabic
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
- Prior experience in the higher education sector
