About the Company

Arootah is a talent solutions firm purpose-built for the alternative investment industry. We advise and we execute, covering the full talent spectrum from entry to exit across five services: Talent Acquisition, Fractional Leadership, Talent Development, Retention & Compensation, and Transition.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and execute people practices and initiatives to maximize human capital assets
  • Devise measurement of data, KPIs, and people analytics to influence talent decisions
  • Oversee local, state, and federal regulatory and compliance practices regarding hiring, disciplinary actions, and diversity
  • Analyze and assess compensation and benefits packages, including health insurance and retirement plans
  • Establish policies and advise managers on employee relations, onboarding, and development planning
  • Ensure organizational compliance with changing labor laws and workplace regulations
  • Oversee development solutions to build capability and bench strength for future leaders
  • Partner with leaders on key business issues across the full HR suite of processes
  • Investigate employee issues and conflicts and bring them to resolution

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Behavior, Psychology, Law, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience as a Director of Human Resources at an Alternative Asset Firm, family office, or investment management company
  • 5-10 years of HR Generalist experience across all areas of HR
  • Strong understanding of the financial services and investment management industry
  • Extensive knowledge of legal, risk, regulatory, and compliance issues in human resources
  • Hands-on experience in client management regarding strategic HR issues like talent management and org design
  • Analytical approach with ability to use workforce analytics to influence decisions
