About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead DTID's legal research agenda across technology law, climate law and environmental governance
- Supervise Legal Research Officers and guide research projects
- Develop and oversee legal research, publications and policy papers
- Build research partnerships with universities, governments and international organisations
- Translate legal research into policy insights for policymakers and climate negotiators
- Support funded research proposals and institutional research planning
Requirements
- Academic legal research experience with a demonstrable publication record
- Expertise in technology law, climate law or environmental governance
- Experience supervising and mentoring researchers
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in Law or a closely related discipline
- Knowledge of UNFCCC and international climate processes
- Working knowledge of Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish or another international language
