About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the library's strategic plan in alignment with the university's mission
- Manage the library budget, including resource acquisition, staffing, and technology upgrades
- Oversee acquisition, organization, and preservation of physical and digital collections
- Implement and manage an Integrated Library System (ILS)
- Drive the adoption of AI, automation, and emerging technologies in library services
- Design and deliver user-centric library services to students and faculty
- Recruit, train, and evaluate library staff
- Provide research support services, including bibliometric analysis and citation management
Requirements
- Ph.D in Library and Information Science
- 20 years of professional library experience
- Expertise in leadership and management
- Experience in academic library operations
- Proficiency in digital and electronic resources
- Knowledge of strategic planning and accreditation compliance
