Arootah is a talent solutions firm purpose-built for the alternative investment industry. We advise and we execute, covering the full talent spectrum from entry to exit across five services: Talent Acquisition, Fractional Leadership, Talent Development, Retention & Compensation, and Transition.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice to Alternative Asset Firm and Family Office clients
• Conduct best practice reviews and develop effective action plans
• Advise on vendor selection, oversight, and policy implementation
• Manage operations teams and oversee the full trade life cycle, including accounting and settlement
• Hire, mentor, and conduct performance reviews for assigned staff
• Manage the operations control environment to reduce operational risk
• Lead attestation and audit processes to ensure internal controls are working appropriately
• Act as a subject matter expert on fund accounting, performance, and associated systems
• Oversee reconciliations with third parties including administrators and prime brokers

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a Director of Operations at an Alternative Asset Firm or Family Office
• Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of multiple asset classes, security types, and capital markets
• Extensive knowledge of investment management technology, including fund accounting software
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and team management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA, M.S. in Operations, or an advanced degree
