About the role
Responsibilities
- Carry P&L-level accountability for the construction and capital budget
- Own capital planning and forecasting across the national portfolio
- Lead site selection and market analysis for de novo and AcquiNovo growth
- Own the lease portfolio end-to-end, including negotiation and renewals
- Direct construction projects from feasibility through close-out
- Oversee permitting, approvals, and inspections across jurisdictions
- Hire and lead a small real estate and construction team
Requirements
- 10-15+ years leadership in real estate development or construction project management
- Experience leading multiple concurrent ground-up projects
- Lease negotiation and multi-location portfolio management
- Strong budgeting, scheduling, and contract negotiation skills
- Executive presence with leadership and board communication
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
Preferred Qualifications
- Veterinary or healthcare experience
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture
