Arootah is a talent solutions firm purpose-built for the alternative investment industry. We advise and we execute, covering the full talent spectrum from entry to exit across five services: Talent Acquisition, Fractional Leadership, Talent Development, Retention & Compensation, and Transition.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice to Alternative Asset Firm and Family Office clients
• Support the CTO in managing the full technology stack including software, hardware, and cybersecurity
• Lead the design, development, and deployment of new applications and systems
• Implement proactive cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning
• Optimize IT infrastructure for both office-based and remote distributed teams
• Oversee IT staff and ensure adherence to technology policies and regulatory requirements
• Develop technology roadmaps that align with business needs
• Advise senior leadership on strategic direction of the Technology team

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
• 6+ years of experience as a Director of Technology at an Alternative Asset Firm or family office
• Strong technical expertise in Information Security, IT Architecture, and Infrastructure
• Experience with Investment Technology vendors (e.g., Calypso, Murex, Eagle, Aladdin, Bloomberg, FactSet)
• Understanding of business processes in regulated investment management environments
• Expertise in budget and resource planning
