Director of Technology Operations

Responsibilities

• Lead the transformation of Technology Operations across Platform/DevOps, Corporate IT and Operational Excellence
• Define the Technology Operations strategy, target operating model, and transformation roadmap
• Lead the evolution of DevOps toward a Platform Engineering model to increase self-service and reduce toil
• Partner with Engineering to establish a "you build it, you own it" model
• Develop Service Management toward Operational Excellence, including incident and problem management
• Transform Corporate IT toward a secure, automated employee technology model
• Own the Technology Operations contribution to digital operational resilience, including disaster recovery and business continuity
• Partner with Security, Risk and Compliance to maintain an effective ICT risk management environment
• Own and optimize budgets, technology vendors, and infrastructure investments

Requirements

• Significant leadership experience in Technology Operations, IT Operations, or Platform Engineering
• Experience as a manager of managers, leading multiple teams through Heads and Leads
• Proven experience in significant organizational or technology transformation
• Experience leading or evolving DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure capabilities toward Platform Engineering
• Experience with production-critical systems where availability and reliability are critical
• Practical experience with business continuity, disaster recovery, and operational resilience
• Experience managing budgets, vendors, and contracts
• Experience in fintech, payments, or banking is highly valuable
