Director, Private Banking - MENA

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop a client base of HNWI and UHNWI providing excellent service to develop net new business
• Manage specific projects end-to-end including liaising with group colleagues
• Develop new business through own sources, existing professional connections, and bank introductions
• Promote Private Banking offerings for both Offshore (Switzerland) and Onshore (UAE)
• Coordinate and promote prospects and business with other Relationship Managers and Group coordinates globally
• Identify target markets, increase wallet share of existing clients, and implement annual marketing plans
• Solicit business across Banking, Fiduciary (Wealth Protection), and Portfolio Management disciplines
• Assess prospects through full vetting and due diligence processes (PEP, OFAC, AML, KYC)\n- Provide 24/7/365 advisory and high-level solutions to clients
• Ensure client portfolios are regularly screened for proper diversification
• Manage the respective PB UAE office for administrative purposes on a rotational basis

Requirements

• Detailed knowledge of FAB policies, AML, OFAC, and KYC requirements
• In-depth knowledge of the trilogy of Private Banking: Banking, Investment/Portfolio Management, and Fiduciary services
• Solid understanding of varied offshore jurisdictions (Switzerland, UK, US, Jersey, Cayman Islands, BVI, etc.)
• Ability to follow financial markets and provide holistic advice
• At least 5 years of experience as an industry hand in private banking or investment companies
• Proven track record of excellent academic performance
• Experience in leadership and decision making
• Strong relationship management and business development skills
• Preferably a background in Business, Economics, Marketing, MBA, or Accountancy/Finance
• Mandatory English; Arabic, French, Hindi, or Urdu are desirable based on geographical needs
