Director - Software Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and mentor engineering managers, technical leads and software engineers across multiple teams
• Establish engineering strategies aligned with product and business objectives
• Lead Agile/Scrum teams, improving sprint planning, estimation and delivery predictability
• Provide technical oversight for scalable enterprise and SaaS applications
• Lead teams integrating applications with Snowflake and cloud-based data platforms
• Recruit, develop and retain high-performing engineering talent

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
• 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience
• 5+ years of engineering leadership experience
• Agile/Scrum team leadership experience
• Experience with cloud-based software and data architectures
• Experience leading teams using Snowflake
• Understanding of APIs, databases, data integration and distributed systems
• DevOps and CI/CD experience with Azure DevOps or Jira and Git

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Azure experience including Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database and Azure Data Factory
• Snowflake, dbt, SQL and Python experience
• Leadership in healthcare technology or other highly regulated environments
• Understanding of HIPAA and healthcare data standards
