About the role
Responsibilities
- Contribute publicly to open source projects to ensure technical leadership
- Analyse client problems and design solutions leveraging open source technologies
- Define and scope client projects in collaboration with the delivery team
- Act as a technical advisor discussing Linux core system technologies with clients
- Represent the company at conferences and trade shows
- Perform deep technical work including software development, integration, debug, and testing
Requirements
- Broad Linux experience (uBoot, Linux kernel, BSP, Yocto, Debian)
- Knowledge of open source development methodologies and communities
- Knowledge of ARM processor-based embedded systems
- Experience with system image creation tooling (debos, wic) and OTA technologies
- Experience with software development for embedded Linux systems
- Experience with modern CI tooling (GitHub, GitLab)
- Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
- Ability to work in a fully distributed environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Debian system creation
- Experience with the Rust programming language
- Experience setting up secure/trusted boot chains
- Experience creating A/B boot systems or atomic upgrade schemes
- Experience with base hardware bringup of new ARM devices
