Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of software engineers, fostering a high-performance environment
• Drive the design, development and delivery of high-scale software solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals
• Provide technical leadership for the development and operation of high-throughput systems processing billions of requests per day
• Actively participate in coding, code reviews, and architecture discussions to maintain technical excellence
• Mentor and develop engineering talent, providing guidance and career development opportunities
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define product requirements and deliverables, and work with your team to turn those into solutions
• Ensure the team follows best practices for software development, testing, and deployment
• Identify and resolve technical and organisational challenges, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing multiple priorities and deadlines

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership role
• Demonstrable expertise in Node.js and TypeScript
• Proven experience designing, operating, and scaling complex infrastructure on cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS, using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform
• Extensive experience delivering high-scale, high-performance solutions
• Strong leadership and team-building skills
• Strong expertise in relational databases, such as PostgreSQL, and in-memory data stores, such as Redis
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted coding tools, along with a strong interest in applying AI to engineering workflows and automation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science
• Proficiency in Go is highly desirable
• Knowledge of modern frontend frameworks and libraries used with TypeScript, such as SvelteKit or React, is a plus
• In-depth understanding of the AdTech industry is a plus
