Engineering Manager, SRE

Responsibilities

• Manage the full career lifecycle of reports including onboarding, feedback, and performance assessment
• Own SRE goals, support rotations, and the on-call model
• Oversee core infrastructure including Kubernetes, AWS, PostgreSQL, and CI infrastructure
• Drive reliability practices such as SLOs, error budgets, and incident response
• Partner with the Security team on threats, patching, and compliance obligations
• Manage vendor relationships and commercial conversations

Requirements

• Proven experience leading an SRE, infrastructure, or platform engineering team
• Hands-on background in site reliability, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure engineering
• Deep experience with Kubernetes in production and AWS at scale
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Experience with CI/CD systems like GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins
• Expertise in Docker and shell scripting
• Experience running a reliability practice including incident response and SLOs

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Elixir, Java, Clojure, Node.js, or Python
• Depth in modern observability tools like OpenTelemetry and Honeycomb
• Database operations experience with PostgreSQL or Aurora
• Experience with Linux systems outside cloud environments
• Security capability from defensive and offensive standpoints
• Cloud cost management and FinOps experience
